1. Why the cludge? Why not just implement a full blown 64-bit iFilter? Is that too difficult???
When will the x64 version of the IFilter be released
My customer is about to roll out a Sharepoint 2007 installation which includes a lot of PDF files. When will Adobe formally release the x64 version that goes with Adobe 8.1?

Installed, but not working in Vista64 with Windows Search 4.0 Preview
I have successfully installed the Adobe x64 PDF IFilter, and it shows in File Types as 'PDFFilterShim (x64) Class', but the contents of my PDFs do not seem to get indexed.
I have done a rebuild. Anyone else seeing this issue?
It Doesn't work for me
Hello to all. I installed It on a windows 2003 Server, R2 Enterprise. I follow the istructions given by Adobe, step by step. Microsoft Search Server Express x64 seems to index only the filename, not the content Something's wrong. Regards
Does not work for me
I am running on Windows 2003 Enterprise 64-bit multi server SharePoint 2007 farm with separate servers for INDEX and CRAWL/SEARCH.
I can only install verion 9 of Reader. How does that change things? Since the purpose of this is to get SharePoint search to index PDF, why is Windows Desktop Search (WDS) listed as a requirement? Do I need to then Install WDS on top of MOSS?
Thanks,
