Is this going to run on the mac in the near future?

Re: Mac Support
Not at this time. Only Windows support.
Similar support for Java or Symbian?
Hi, I'm interested in developing using FLEX/Flash Lite rather than J2ME for mobile devices, but currently Flash Lite has too low penetration and usability issues regarding SWF/application startup.
First, my Nokia N70 came without Flash Lite preinstalled, and this is common. I can't use a platform that users don't have or can't easily install themselves.
Also, after installing the developer version of Flash Lite on my handset, I must start Flash before I can open SWF files. This is because the phone doesn't recognize SWF files as applications. That's something I want as a user, because I want to access my applications directly from the start screen of the phone.
But the "compile to native code" initiative seems very interesting. While I don't have a Brew phone, will native publishers be available for Java/J2ME/Symbian, or will it be possible to have a Flash Lite framework that instructs the phone to treat SWF files as applications?
Also, if native publishing for Java/J2ME/Symbian becomes available, will the file sizes be comparable to JAR files with similar functionality?
These factors would be most important when choosing a development framework.

P.S. While we're at it: It would be great if the Flash player didn't treat external media files as something that should be inside the 2 MB footprint. This is a showstopper for using Flash Lite as a music player.
